Bali, Indonesia

Over the new year we went on an adventure to Southeast Asia. We started our trip in Bali Indonesia. We stayed at the Hard Rock Resort in Kuta Beach. The first day there we just lounged around after arriving late the night before. We rented a cabana poolside and played games, read, and relaxed.

The next day we went to look at the beach, but since the water wasn’t that clear, full of people, and not that clean we decided to go back to the hotel pool.
After lunch we went on a half day tour around the island.
Our first stop was at some rice fields and to try some local snacks and learn about local life.
Next we stopped at Taman Ayun Temple to take some pictures.
Then it was off to the monkey forest where monkeys run free and you can feed them, if you want. We did not feed them after we heard that our friends who have gone there before was bit by one of the monkeys. So we just watched all the other tourists feed them and take off their hats and sunglasses.
They love coke!
We ended the day on the coast to look at Pura Tanah Lot, a temple on the sea
We enjoyed our short trip to Bali, but we wish we would have chosen a better area to stay in that wasn’t full of tourists and a less nightlife. I also got bit by mosquitoes the first night and my face had an allergic reaction to them. Don’t forget bug spray!
After our short trip in Bali, we headed to Singapore to depart for our Southeastern Royal Caribbean Cruise.
