Langkawi, Malaysia

On New Years Eve, during our Southeast Asia cruise, one of the stops was the island of Langkawi, Malaysia. We did our own tour that day instead of booking through the cruise line. We started out by trying our luck with a cable car ride again. This time it was nice, no wind. It was a bit rainy, but we still got some good views of the hilltops.

The ride up was a bit scary since it was going pretty much straight up!
Once we got to the top, it was worth it!
This is the sky bridge that Matt wanted to go on, luckily for me it was closed for repairs! I don’t think I could handle being on that. It is pretty from afar.
Again, with the sky bridge. No thanks!!
Here is the second landing for the cable car. We were two stops up!
Looks like a long way down!!
After the cable car we went to the beach resort area but it decided to rain so we just had lunch and walked around before returning to the ship for the New Years Eve festivities. We wish we had a little more time in Langkawi, but it seemed like a sleepy little town so we were able to just relax and take in the beautiful views. If you are afraid of heights, this cable car excursion may not be for you!
