It is the second largest city in the country and has plenty of things to offer for tourist families. Even if you are traveling with a toddler, this city will make sure that you and your kid are never bored. Here are some of the best kid-friendly activities that you can find in Hanoi.
Located along Dinh Tien Hoang street the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater is a place that you and your kids will absolutely fall in love with. The theater comprises of 17 different short stories and sketches that are performed using traditional water puppets. The show runs for approximately one hour which is a good length for kids to watch. Every sketch or story is accompanied by a Vietnamese orchestra that plays traditional music using instruments such as wooden bells, horns, and bamboo flutes. As the show is almost always sold out it is advised that you book your tickets in advance so you don’t miss it.
Located in Tay Ho district, this water park spans over an area of 35,500 square meters and features many water rides and activities for you and your kids. If you are going to Hanoi you should never miss the opportunity to visit this water park because your kids are going to absolutely love it. While traveling with a toddler you need to keep such fun activities in your schedule to make sure that your little ones aren’t getting bored on the trip. The park is open Wed-Mon, 9:00-21:00.
- Hanoi Central Circus
This is an ideal all-day activity for your family and there is no chance that you or the kids will get bored in such a fun filled place. Featuring live performances and fun games you can have a really amazing time in Central Circus. The circus is famous for its live animal performances, acrobats, and clowns that will leave your kids awestruck. The circus is located near Thein Quang Lake.
- Hoan Kiem Lake
Hoan Kiem Lake is one of the most popular attractions of Hanoi and there is a lot that this place has to offer. This place is perfect for an evening stroll with your kids because you get to see the historical side of Hanoi. This is also an amazing place to meet and interact with friendly locals and get to know about their culture in a little more detail. Jade Island is one of the main attractions of the area where you and your kids can learn about the historical significance of the turtle tower.
If you want your kids to have fun while you have a little shopping spree, Royal City Megamall is the perfect place to go. With an ice-skating rink (also a movie theater and bowling alley), you can have a little indoor fun activity while shopping from famous international and local brands. The mall also has a lot of food outlets which include famous international brands which is a good thing if your kids are tired of trying out all the local traditional food.
