Singapore: Cruise Embarkation

As part of a Southeastern Asia cruise that was based out of Singapore, we decided to stay a few extra days to check out Singapore. When we docked in Singapore we went to the Intercontinental Hotel to drop off our bags. Then we set out on a walking tour of the city where we saw a Mosque, the Muslim quarter and a cemetery.
Afterwards we headed out for our anniversary dinner which was located on the 42nd floor of a building. But as the weather was rainy that evening the windows were foggy with condensation, so we couldn’t see anything.  But first we had drinks in the bar next to the restaurant

When we got back to the hotel, this was left in our room. Good service!!
The next day we just went shopping and then did a tea tasting at the hotel. The picture below shows the food that was suggested to pair with the three teas we tried. All of it was yummy!
Then we went to the horse track. We got VIP seats so we were inside instead of out in the rain. We won a few hundred bucks, not bad for amateurs and not knowing what we were doing!
Below is a shot of one of the horses that won us big money!
The next day we went on the Flyer, which is a big ferriswheel.

Then we went on a Duck tour which takes you on land and then in the water. We got to see some cook sites along the way.

On top of this building is where we had our anniversary dinner.
Overall, we liked Singapore the best. Very modern city, English everywhere and a lot to do.
