We decided this year for New Years we would take a Southeastern Asia cruise. Once we set sail on the cruise from Singapore, our first stop was Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (KL). Once we docked we took a bus to KL which is about an hour inland.
Our first stop on the tour was the national monument.
Then we headed downtown to look at some other buildings, but we decided the 2013 sign was cool!
Next we went to the Petronas Twin Towers which has a big mall on the first 4 levels. Everything was in English and the people were really friendly. The city is so clean and modern with large skyscrapers everywhere and malls on every corner.
I decided to take a little time shopping in the mall to find a dress to wear for the New Year’s Eve party on the ship. We also walked around and settled for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. After our shopping afternoon we boarded the bus and headed back to the ship. Kuala Lumpur was sure a great city to visit and we hope someday we can come back and spend more time in this fabulous city. There is really not enough time to visit all that Kuala Lumpur has to offer in one short day.
